Empress Sue Wong hosted a celebratory party for New Year’s at her historical Hollywood Estate, The Cedars. It was truly the most glamorous place to celebrate New Year’s Eve at the cedars.
It was a extravagant evening filled with food, music, entertainment along with some of the most well known Hollywood socialites. Celebrities, designers, producers, actors, artists and more.
The 10,000 –square-foot estate was built in 1926 for film director Marcel Tourneur. Jimmy Hendrix was a former resident and his bedroom with alcove was one of the many beautiful rooms in the Los Feliz Mansion known as The Cedars.
The incredible vortex of creativity and artistic visionaries certainly raised the operatic and mythical friezes in the rooftops of my historical Landmark home The Cedars to an unprecedented level on New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t have wished for a better way to welcome the New Year, than to celebrate the inspiring and powerful collaborations.
over 2014 and to raise the glass
to even far greater goals, wishes, heights and excellent manifestations for 2015. I was blessed to be surrounded by respectful professionals that represent excellent standards, among others: Los Angeles City Councilman Tom La Bonge, BAFTA Chairman Board of Directors Nigel Daly and his lovely wife Louise Salter, BAFTA West Coast Director Sandro Monetti and rockers Chris Pitman and Steve Cooke. The peerless Michael Peer delivered a powerful, transcending performance that lead us into an operatic countdown into 2015 and Steve Cooke ushered in a ROCKING 2015 with a Janis Joplin Blues never that brought down the house! It was a mesmerizing evening that set the bar to levels that promise a strong, more successful year than ever before!
The hilltop villa overlooks the beautiful Los Angeles City and is now owned by one of the legendary fashion designers — Sue Wong, whose gowns are known for their timeless, Old- Hollywood glamour and feminine beauty. It is no surprise; Sue Wong has tastefully completed the mansion by restoring the original aesthetic beauty of the house and preserving its massive fireplaces, ceilings and gilded columns. The house is filled with antiques, French art deco, art from Morocco and around the world. The Cedars has been the home of many artists throughout the years including Hollywood starlet Norma Talmadge, Jimmy Hendrix, Johnny Depp and more.
