A glamorous evening and magical Holiday Red Carpet for Persian New Year was put on by Nader Rafiee the owner of Omid Iran TV on March 16th 2015.
Nowruz marks the first day of spring or Equinox[19] and the beginning of the year in the Persian calendar. It is celebrated on the day of the astronomical Northward equinox, which usually occurs on March 21 or the previous/following day depending on where it is observed. Nowruz is celebrated by people from diverse ethnic communities and religious backgrounds for thousands of years.
No Ruz, new day or New Year as the Iranians call it, is a celebration of spring Equinox. It is the most cherished of all the Iranian festivals and is celebrated by all. This occasion has been renowned in one form or another by all the major cultures.

The

familiar concepts of Hell, Heaven, Resurrection, coming of the Messiah, individual and last judgment were for the first time incorporated into Zoroastrian belief system.
Haft Seen, otherwise known as Haft Sīn (Persian: هفتسین‎) or the seven S’s is a traditional table setting of Nowruz, the traditional Persian new year. The haft seen table includes seven items all starting with the letter sīn (س) in the Persian alphabet.
The Haft Seen items are:
1. Sabzeh (سبزه) – wheat, barley, mung bean or lentil sprouts growing in a dish – symbolizing rebirth
2. Samanu (سمنو) – sweet pudding made from wheat germ – symbolizing affluence
3. Senjed (سنجد) – dried oleaster Wild Olive fruit – symbolizing love
4. Seer (سیر) – garlic – symbolizing medicine
5. Seeb (سیب) – apple – symbolizing beauty and health
6. Somāq (سماق) – sumac fruit – symbolizing (the color of) sunrise
7. Serkeh (سرکه) – vinegar – symbolizing old-age and patience
