NAFCA – African Oscars (Nollywood & African Film Critics’ Awards)
NAFCA Humanitarian Awards was held on September 13, 2014 Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, California.
The African NAFCA is designed to globally promote African Cinema and culture. The African NAFCA awards exemplify merit and considered as the first African film and honorary award event to be held in Hollywood. The African NAFCA will host the awards for astonishing work in the film industry all over the world.

The ceremony also featured presentations to selected Presidents, entertainers and humanitarians. There were global press coverage by more than 400 media partners. Presentations of the African NAFCA and The Special NAFCA Honors are made yearly during the second weekend in September.Winners are awarded the NAFCA Trophy, officially the Award of Merit that is much better known as NAFCA.The awards, first presented in 2011, honored President Nelson Mandela. Past recipients included: President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia, President Jonathan E. Goodluck and President Ellen J. Sirleaf. The 4 prestigious award of 2014 made history together by becoming the first African award to be held in Hollywood.
